Rishikesh is a city in the state of Uttarakhand, on the foothills of the Himalayas near the Ganges river. It is known for its ancients temples, steep mountains for hiking, watersports such as rafting, enjoy the surreal view of the foothills of the Himalayas, and woods for hiking for camping. you can do trekking from Panch Kedar to Chandrashila and Gaumukh Nandanvan, It is known as the Yoga capital of the world. The best places to visit for yoga and meditation are Sivananda Ashram, Parmarth Niketan, and Osho Ganga Dham Ashram. It is also known to be the starting point of the popular Char Dham Yatra. Rafting in the river Ganga is a lifetime experience and a hot air balloon over the Shivalik ranges. You can also do Air Safari-like paragliding, wildlife safari, bungee jumping, mountain biking, rock climbing, and canoeing. If you are wishing to make a trip to Rishikesh the best moths to visit are February-March (Summer) and August-October(Winter). A trip of 2-3 days is ample to see Rishikesh. Rishikesh tourism has gained recognition for its spiritual and religious significance. You can reach Rishikesh by bus, car, and flight.
